Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and production, along with excellent leadership skills to manage kitchen operations. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious meals, ensuring food safety standards are met, and leading a team of kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

Duties

Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's menu and standards. Oversee food production processes to ensure consistency and quality in every dish served. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to all food safety regulations. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Collaborate with the team to develop new recipes and menu items that reflect current culinary trends. Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment and encouraging professional development. Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and functioning efficiently. Handle any customer feedback or concerns regarding food quality or service.

Experience

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant setting is essential. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques. Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in team management. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. A passion for cooking and creativity in food presentation is highly desirable. Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications would be an advantage.
