Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team with Live In accommodation available. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and production, with a keen understanding of food safety and hygiene standards. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring that our guests receive an exceptional dining experience. This role requires leadership skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to the menu and dietary requirements. Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure consistency and quality. Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations in the kitchen. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed. Assist in menu planning, including seasonal specials and customer favourites. Manage inventory levels of food supplies, ensuring freshness and proper storage. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods. Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, safety protocols, and kitchen operations. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment at all times.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry. Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices. Excellent culinary skills with a passion for creating innovative dishes. Leadership abilities with experience in supervising kitchen staff. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members. A relevant culinary qualification is preferred but not essential. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
