Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in coffee shop cooking and meal preparation, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to food safety and quality. Must be able to work as part of a team in a growing, fast paced friendly environment. Willing to learn and grow, bring new ideas and skills to increase productivity and have a passion for food.

Duties

Prepare and cook hot and cold meals, sandwiches, pastries etc. Ensure all food is prepared and stored in accordance with food safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored. Collaborate with front-of-house staff and work as part of a team to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction. Kitchen open and close duties.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Chef/Cook/Sandwich Artist in a commercial catering setting, who is willing to learn. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and meal presentation. Familiarity and experience with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with team members. A passion for cooking and creating exceptional dining experiences for guests. Culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not essential. Flexibility in working pattern to ensure consistent business operation. This will include weekend working. Easy commute to Betchworth, Surrey.
