Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef with a can do attitude to develop our hotel/retreat catering.

This is a self employed posiiton to service the overnight, retreat and event guests at our venue. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts and a deep understanding of food safety and preparation techniques. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious dishes that taste of quality and presentation.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook high-quality meals Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring that all food safety regulations are adhered to. Plan menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and order as necessary to maintain stock. Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen at all times, maintaining a safe working environment. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery to guests. Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and restaurant policies.

Experience

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry. Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on food preparation and production techniques. Desire to be the master of their own success Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in team management. Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is essential. Ability to work efficiently under pressure. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with team members and guests.
