Overview


Hey there culinary wizards! Are you ready to take your magic to the next level? We are on the hunt for a passionate new chef to join our team at Felt Kitchen and Coffee Bar in the heart of Brimscombe, Stroud. We are nestled along the scenic river Frome. We are all about crafting delicious dishes from scratch using local, seasonal and the best quality ingredients.

What we are looking for:

culinary passion: bring your creativity and flair to every plate.
team player: work alongside our talented head chef, kitchen and front of house staff.
weekend warrior: must be available for weekend shifts. One weekend off per month.
evening enthusiast: will be required to work 2-4 evenings a month for our exciting pop up events.
no split shifts: enjoy consistent and predictable work hours.

Responsibilities



Managing daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high standards of food quality. Food preparation and cooking, maintaining consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control. Ensure all dishes meet health and safety regulations, adhering strictly to food safety standards. Support menu development by contributing creative ideas for new dishes and seasonal offerings. Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste to optimise kitchen efficiency. Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Skills



Extensive food production knowledge with expertise in food preparation and cooking techniques. In-depth understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting. Exceptional leadership qualities coupled with a passion for hospitality and service excellence. Previous restaurant experience demonstrating versatility across various culinary roles including serving duties is advantageous. Ability to maintain composure and professionalism during busy service periods while ensuring high-quality output. This position offers an engaging environment where culinary creativity meets leadership excellence. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.21-18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
