What we are looking for?
Daily you will be responsible for making food and drink for our customers and managing a small team. You will be responsible for ensuring Food Safety Standards are fully adhered to and recorded as well as ensuring other staff are trained in the required standards. You should be happy working independently in the kitchen and overseeing the front of house.
Creating great tasting and well presented food and drinks for our customers to enjoy
Give great service so that our customers love to come back time and time again
Ensure our health & safety and hygiene is always excellent
Ordering food and drink from suppliers and cost control in line with income
Overseeing a small team and shift patterns
Training staff
Willing to help in other areas of our garden centre when required.
Extra hours to cover holidays and sickness will be required
The ideal you
A background in a busy cafe (typical current menu includes cooked breakfasts, paninis, jacket potatoes etc.)
Experience in food preparation
Good understanding of and experience of ensuring food safety standards and hygiene requirements are adhered to
Good customer service
Willing to try new ideas
Willingness to work in the kitchen as well as front of house, serving customers and making hot drinks
Who we are?
With over 25 years running and working in various Garden Centres including locally known names, we decided to use our knowledge to bring together a mix of great quality plants and products along with home-cooked food in a relaxed atmosphere. Located in Sudbrooke Village on the North-Eastern side of Lincoln close to the newly extended by-pass and the main A158 road to the coast.
