Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Chef to join our nursery team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in food preparation and cooking, ensuring quality and consistency in all dishes. Supervise kitchen staff during service, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations. Help manage inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels to ensure smooth kitchen functioning. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times. Participate in training, fostering a positive team environment and promoting best practices in food preparation.

Qualifications

Experience in a nursery kitchen environment, preferably as an Assistant Chef or similar role Knowledge of food preparation techniques and dietary requirements. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork. Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not essential.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 12.36 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
