Job Description

As a Chief Invigilator, you will be authorised by the Test Centre to ensure that exams run smoothly and that all exam regulations and requirements are met. The Chief Invigilator is responsible for coordinating the Invigilators, handling any issues that arise and escalating them to LanguageCert.

Your main responsibilities:



ensuring that examinations are conducted in accordance with all LanguageCert regulations

coordinating Invigilators and ensuring they are fully aware of their role and responsibilities

ensuring that Invigilators and Interlocutors are notified in advance about any changes to LanguageCert exams and, at all times, are provided with current and up-to-date LanguageCert handbooks and exam guides.

arrival at the Test Centre at least one hour before the official exam start time

overseeing the proper placement of Test Centre signage and the examination rooms set up in accordance with LanguageCert regulations

checking that all candidates have the required identification documents with them (i.e. ID card, passport, health card etc.) prior to the beginning of the exam

explaining to candidates where their personal belongings should be placed and ensuring no unauthorised material enters the exam room

escorting candidates to the designated seats

ensuring the sealed envelopes containing the exam material(s) are handed to authorised exam personnel (Invigilators, Interlocutors)

ensuring the sealed envelopes containing the exam material(s) are opened inside the exam room, in the presence of candidates and asking the Invigilators to distribute the exam papers and answer sheets to candidates

ensuring all necessary procedures are in place to prevent malpractice and/or maladministration during the examination

making the necessary arrangements for exam material(s) to be returned to LanguageCert through courier or electronic upload (unless otherwise authorised by LanguageCert)

ensuring that LanguageCert regulations are adhered to at all times

escorting candidates out of the exam room

ensuring that if issues arise these are promptly escalated to LanguageCert

Minimum required skills and qualifications:



Excellent command of English

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Understanding the need to strictly follow rules and procedures

Polite, professional, punctual and a team player

Able to critically evaluate issues/situations/conditions

Understand priorities

Prior experience with English Language Exams is desirable

Ability to multitask and efficiently complete all tasks in a timely manner

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.21-26.01 per hour

Expected hours: 37.50 per week

Work Location: In person
