As we enter our next phase of growth, we are seeking a visionary Chief Operating Officer (COO) to scale our software operations and drive commercial success. This role is critical to operationalising our climate impact at scale--turning technology and execution into tangible decarbonisation outcomes for our clients.

Role Overview:

The COO will work closely with the CEO and executive team to lead Net Zero Group's software delivery engine, scale operational capabilities, and accelerate revenue growth. You will be responsible for uniting product, engineering, and commercial operations into a cohesive system that delivers exceptional value to our clients and measurable impact on the planet.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Software & Product Operations

Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle of our carbon management platform, NetScope. Continually seek AI opportunities for R&D and efficiency, ensuring timely, secure, and scalable product releases. Develop and optimise agile practices to increase team velocity and improve customer-centric innovation. Work closely with product development leadership to deliver best-in-class user experiences across emissions tracking, reporting, and reduction planning.
2. Accelerate Revenue & Commercial Impact

Drive operational strategies that enhance recurring revenue, customer acquisition, and lifetime value. Collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer success to refine pricing models, optimise onboarding journeys, and improve conversion and retention across sectors. Identify monetisation opportunities across carbon data, analytics, and workflow automation tools, aligned with emerging sustainability regulations.
3. Scale Operational Infrastructure for Growth

Translate strategic goals into department-level execution plans with clear KPIs across product delivery and commercial performance. Build scalable systems, tooling, and workflows that enable high-growth operations without compromising agility or impact. Lead business planning, performance tracking, and operational reviews to ensure alignment and transparency.
Qualifications

7+ years in operational leadership roles within SaaS, climate tech, or data/analytics platforms/ start ups. Strong grounding in AI enhanced software development or technical product management with a commercial lens. Demonstrated success scaling operations and increasing ARR in a high-growth environment. Deep understanding of B2B SaaS metrics, customer lifecycles, and agile development processes. Passion for sustainability and fluency in the climate/carbon domain is highly desirable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From 85,000.00 per year
