About the role:



The role is exciting and varied, offering fantastic opportunities to train and support staff across the team, develop training packages, and assist services with problem-solving.

Taking a consultative approach to your work, the right candidate must have in-depth knowledge of safeguarding and experience working with children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:



Staff Training and Development

- Deliver training sessions and workshops to equip staff with the knowledge and skills to identify and respond to child exploitation risks effectively.

Case Consultation and Support

- Provide expert advice and guidance to professionals working with children and young people at risk of exploitation, helping to develop appropriate intervention strategies.

Development of Training Materials

Create and update training packages and resources that reflect best practices in safeguarding and child exploitation prevention.

Safeguarding Practice and Policy Guidance

Advise on safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure services maintain high standards in protecting vulnerable children and young people.

Problem-Solving and Service Support

Support teams in addressing challenges related to child exploitation cases through a consultative and solution-focused approach.

About you:



JNC or youth justice level 3 qualified or equivalent or similar - (Essential) Driving licence and access to a vehicle. Travel when required - (Essential) Is confident communicating effectively and training up to 100 staff members at a time, either face to face or via teams. Detailed knowledge of child protection and safeguarding processes and services. - (Essential) Understands youth Culture Proficient with IT systems and recording information accurately. Experience of working with children and young people. Adaptable to short term and long-term change relating to services. Able to work automatously, independently and closely as a team when needed. Experience of case work, risk management and inter-agency working An awareness of issues relating to communities from different racial and cultural backgrounds and equal opportunities and up to date working knowledge of relevant legislation relating to young people.


Due to the nature of the role, it is necessary for the appropriate level of criminal record disclosure to be undertaken (DBS).
