Child Protection and Safeguarding Officer
Scale 12 -16. Starting Scale 12 - Actual annual salary: 24,820.00 (0.87% FTE, Full Time Equivalent)
37.5 hours per week, 8.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday. Term time plus 5 additional days

We are looking for a Child Protection and Safeguarding Officer to join our committed team. This is a pivotal role in promoting the health, safety and well-being of our students. Working closely with colleagues, families and external partners, you will help to secure the very best outcomes for every child.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate safeguarding referrals and interventions across the academy.* Arrange, monitor and review support for children and families.* Assist the Designated Safeguarding Lead in embedding safeguarding policies and procedures.* Manage a caseload with professionalism, working both independently and collaboratively.* Keep accurate, up-to-date records and liaise effectively with external agencies.* Be a visible, approachable and trusted source of support for students.*
About You
You will bring proven experience of working with children, families and multi-agency partners, together with a sound knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practice. You'll have excellent communication and organisational skills, and the ability to remain calm, professional and resilient in a fast-paced and sometimes demanding environment. We are seeking someone empathetic and approachable, able to build strong, positive relationships with students from all backgrounds. Above all, you will be emotionally resilient, committed to the highest standards of care, and confident in managing your time to prioritise a varied and dynamic workload.
