Childcare Assistant
to play an integral part in creating a fun and exciting environment for our junior guests as part of our Little Glen team.
The on target earning potential for this role is 14.83 / per hour - comprising a base hourly rate of 12.33, plus a qualified estimate of 2.50 per hour in gratuities and service charge.

Working 16 hours per week over 2 days, you'll be flexible to work both week days and weekends.

Here's a bit more detail on what we see you doing in this role:
Looking after our junior guests within the hotel will be your number one priority; their safety and welfare is paramount, whilst they're having fun
You'll be responsible for a set number of children in your care, in line with Care Inspectorate ratios, creating a secure and nurturing environment
With a warm and welcoming approach, you'll reassure parents and guardians, giving them confidence that their children are in safe hands
Working alongside our Little Glen Manager, you'll help plan engaging daily, weekly, and monthly themed activities
Supporting our Children's Activity Learning Manager, you'll proactively contribute ideas and creativity to our exciting Holiday Programmes
Your flair for creativity will shine through as you lead both planned and impromptu arts and crafts session, so flexibility and spontaneity are key!
Carrying out regular safety checks across toys and equipment in both Little Glen and The Den, staying vigilant and proactive in maintaining the highest standards
To stay current and compliant, you'll keep up to date with all relevant legislation and guidelines, attending training sessions where required, including some outside your regular working hours
Interacting with our guests, always warm, professional, helpful and doing everything you can to exceed their expectations; playing your part in making their stay with us luxurious in every way
The kind of person we're looking for:
You'll must either have achieved or working towards; an HNC in Childhood Practice or SVQ Social Services (Children and Young People)
With experience in a similar role, you're passionate about supporting children's growth and development across both indoor and outdoor settings
Creative, imaginative, and resourceful, you bring fresh ideas and energy to help deliver the very highest standards of care as part of our team
Adaptable and flexible, you thrive in a changing environment—quick to think on your feet and confident in problem-solving to meet the needs of every child in your care
You understand that working with children can be demading, however your positivity, patience, and natural energy are among your greatest strengths
Highly motivated and possessing an immense sense of pride in your work; you're passionate about delivering the high standards for our guests in line with the Gleneagles brand
You have a positive "can do" attitude to solving problems in a professional and courteous manner
A strong team player with great communication skills and an enthusiastic approach; you're well organised and punctual with an eagle eye for detail
