Overview

We are seeking a fun, energetic and dedicated Childcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong background in Childcare. This role involves creating a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children, ensuring their well-being and development through various activities. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in fostering positive relationships with both the children and their families.

Duties

Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities. Create a safe and welcoming environment for children, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to foster a supportive community. Manage daily routines, including setting up play spaces, collecting children from school and assisting with breakfast club. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the childcare area, ensuring all equipment is safe and suitable for use. Observe children's behaviour and development, providing feedback to parents as necessary. Collaborate with other childcare professionals to share best practices and enhance the quality of care provided.

Qualifications

A minimum 2years proven experience in childcare or nursery settings is essential. Strong understanding of early childhood education principles. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm demeanour. A genuine drive to support children's growth and development through engaging activities. Relevant qualifications in childcare or early childhood education are advantageous but not mandatory.

Pay: 12.50-13.50 per hour
