We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Preschool Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will have a passion for working with children and a background in Preschool education. This role requires effective communication skills and an ability to work as part of a team. The candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and educational atmosphere for children, complete relevant paperwork and work in partnership with Parents.
Responsibilities
Supervise and engage with children in a Preschool setting, ensuring their safety at all times.
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive community.
Setup play areas and plan activities. Clean and tidy play areas at the end of each session.
Observe and assess children's progress and contribute to planning and evaluations.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the childcare environment.
Work well as part of a team and use own initiative.
Requirements
A recognised level 2 or 3 childcare qualification is essential.
Safeguarding & child protection, First aid and food hygiene training (or willing to attain).
Strong communication and written skills in English are required for effective interaction with children and parents.
Ability to create a nurturing environment that supports children's emotional and educational needs.
Experience working with children in a EA Funded Preschool setting is highly desirable.
