Job Overview

Due to ongoing demand and expansion Little Explorers is a home childcare setting seeking a dedicated and nurturing Childcare Assistant or to join my team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and the ability to create a safe, engaging, and educational environment. This role involves supervising children, planning activities, and ensuring their well-being while fostering their development through play and structured learning in line with the EYFS framework.

Duties

Supervise and engage with children in a safe and caring manner. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to childcare. Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play sessions. Maintain a clean and organised home environment that meets health and safety standards. Observe children's behaviour and development, providing feedback to parents as necessary. Drive to various locations if required for outings or activities.

Experience

Previous experience working with children in a childcare setting is desirable. Full training would be provided should this be your first childcare role. A background in early childhood education is highly desirable. Strong leadership skills to manage groups of children effectively. Excellent communication skills in English to interact with children and parents alike. Ability to demonstrate patience, creativity, and enthusiasm when engaging with children. A valid driving licence is preferred but not mandatory.
Hours- 3 days per week term time and up to 5 days per week during school holidays
