Job Description

Allsorts Childcare are looking to recruit a childcare professional to work 16 hours per week.

Allsorts is a not for profit organisation located inside Duns Primary school, offering wrap-around and school holiday childcare for children aged 3 and above. We pride ourselves in offering a fun and supportive environment for our children and are therefore looking for the right individual to join our team. You can expect to enjoy carrying out activities and outings as a wrap-around service or during school holidays, including messy play, science experiments, sports/games, trips to the beach, swimming activities and much more.

Our opening hours are:

Term time: 7.30am-9am, 3.15pm-6pm Monday-Friday
Holidays/In Service days: 7.30am-6pm Monday-Friday

Essential skills & experience:

- A keen interest in working with children/young people

- The ability to work as part of a team

- Reliable and trustworthy

- Motivated to continue learning to aid professional development

- A 'can-do' attitude

- You will need to pass a PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups)

Desirable skills & experience:

- Previous experience in a childcare setting or volunteering/working with young people

- Childcare qualification, e.g. Level 3, or working towards

- First aid qualification

- Experience working with children/young people with SEN is a bonus
