Childcare Assistant - Home-Based Setting

12-13 per hour (DOE) | 28-32 hours/week, Monday-Thursday

Start date: January 2026 (withunpaid induction sessions before start until all Checks have been approved)

I'm looking or a caring, reliable Childcare Assistant to join our small, friendly home-based childcare setting in Crystal Palace. If you love helping young children learn, grow, and thrive in a warm, family-style environment this could be perfect for you!

Your role will be:

Support daily routines, play, and learning activities

Help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment.

Work closely with the Childminder to plan and deliver fun, age-appropriate activities.

Communicate positively with parents and children.

Requirements

Enhanced DBS will be obtained.

Paediatric First Aid & Safeguarding training (can be completed during induction.)

Previous childcare experience is helpful, but enthusiasm and a genuine love for children are most important!
