Due to our expanding numbers we are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Childcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children. This role involves creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for children, ensuring their well-being and development through various activities.

Duties

Supervise and care for children in a nursery or childcare setting, ensuring their safety at all times. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development. Communicate effectively with children, encouraging their expression and helping them develop language skills. Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and playtime, ensuring a structured environment. Foster positive relationships with children and their families, providing updates on progress and addressing any concerns. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the childcare area, ensuring it is safe and welcoming for all children. Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive team approach to childcare.

Requirements

Previous experience working with children in a childcare is essential. A background in early years A level 2 or above qualification is highly essential . Strong leadership skills to effectively manage groups of children and guide them through activities. Excellent communication skills in English to interact with children, parents, and colleagues effectively. A genuine love for working with young children and a commitment to their development and well-being.

Pay: From 12.50 per hour
