Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Childcare Manager to join and lead our Out of schools team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and possess the necessary skills to create a safe, engaging, and educational environment. This role requires effective management and leadership abilities to ensure the well-being and development of children in our care. We open from 1:30pm during term time and from 8am during school holiday periods.

Responsibilities

Supervise and engage with children in a variety of activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Plan and implement age-appropriate play activities that promote early childhood development. Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress, behaviour, and any concerns that may arise. Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere that encourages children's social, emotional, and cognitive growth. Manage daily routines ensuring a structured environment. Collaborate with your team of staff to maintain high standards of care Keep accurate records of children's activities and behaviour Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the childcare setting.

Requirements

Proven experience in childcare or early childhood education is essential. Strong management and leadership skills to effectively guide children and support fellow staff members. Excellent communication skills in English to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues. Experience working in a nursery setting is highly desirable. A genuine love for working with children and fostering their development through play and learning activities. Ability to create a positive environment that encourages children's curiosity and creativity.
