We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Childcare Provider to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of early childhood education principles. This role involves creating a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children, ensuring their well-being and development while fostering positive relationships with both the children and their families. We have 2 positions available childcare assistants post. Both posts are 17.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities
Provide attentive and compassionate care to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development in areas such as language, social skills, and motor skills.
Communicate effectively with children to encourage their expression and understanding of feelings.
Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play activities, ensuring a structured environment.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the childcare space, ensuring it is safe and inviting for children.
Collaborate with parents to discuss children's progress and any concerns regarding their development.
Lead group activities that foster teamwork, cooperation, and leadership skills among children.
Drive to various locations if required for outings or activities outside the childcare setting.
Requirements
Proven experience in childcare or early childhood education is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with children and parents.
Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm demeanour in a busy environment.
A background in nursery settings or similar environments is advantageous.
Demonstrated leadership qualities to guide children in group settings.
A valid driving licence may be required for transportation purposes related to childcare activities.
A genuine love for working with children and the ability to create a nurturing atmosphere that supports their growth and development.
Room assistant post applicants must have a level 2 or higher childcare or playwork qualifications or be in the process of completing a relevant qualification.
