We are seeking compassionate and dedicated

Support Workers

for our client to join their team at a children's residential home in Solihull.

Salary: 12.95 to 13.50 per hour



The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and possess the ability to communicate effectively with both children and their families. As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in assisting children with various needs, ensuring their safety and well-being while promoting their development through tailored care plans.

Responsibilities



Provide support to children in daily activities, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being. Assist in the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each child's needs. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and other professionals to foster a supportive environment. Drive to various locations as required for home visits or community activities. Maintain accurate records of children's progress and any incidents that may occur. Collaborate with team members to develop strategies that enhance children's learning and development. Engage children in recreational activities that promote social skills and personal growth.

Skills



Experience working with children, particularly in a support or childcare role. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with children and families. Ability to drive and hold a valid driving licence for transportation purposes. Familiarity with developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs. Proficiency in IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes. A compassionate nature with the ability to empathise with children's challenges and needs.
