WCB Ltd provides support to children and young people who are in crisis North East. Our services cater for children and young people with a variety of needs, including disabilities, special educational needs, child and adolescent mental health needs, and behavioural needs.
About the Role
We are seeking to recruit a new Coordinator to join our team in Chester le street. The hours will be Monday to Friday 9-5.
The successful candidate will be responsible for organising and coordinating a team of workers ensuring that our customer care and support is covered appropriately and safely and to the highest possible standard. You will also be required to assist with recruitment of staff.
Duties will include
Compiling rotas for o workers
Assigning workers to children and young people, whilst working within requirements, skills and compliance
Understanding, organising and recording the availability of all new workers
Working closely and communicating with other members of the team, professional bodies to ensure the highest quality of care
Proof reading reports and sending the on to professionals
Recruiting and interviewing new support staff.
On call on a rota basis
About you
As a coordinator you will have an excellent telephone manner with good communication, interpersonal and influencing skills. We are looking for a customer focused candidate that has the ability to multitask, prioritise, organise and work well under tight deadlines and pressure.
The suitable candidate will ideally have social care sector experience. With experience of working in a fast paced, high volume call environment, you will be able to deal with queries and enquiries quickly and efficiently. You must be able to remain calm under pressure and be able to prioritise tasks and communicate effectively with other members of staff, ensuring that information is recorded for future reference and passed to the relevant person in a timely fashion.
Essential qualities:
Strong I.T. skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Experience of managing a busy workload
Ability to work autonomously and be able to analyse a situation and take decisive action in a timely manner
Ability to prioritise tasks
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Desirable:
Social Care sector experience
NVQ Level 3 in social care or equivalent
Please note: as part of the role you will be required to work as part of the On-Call team for which you will be paid 225 per week
