This role is for a Deputy Manager Step Up position to Registered Manager. The role includes 1 day per week working from home.



If you're a Deputy Manager in a children's residential home with 2+ years' experience, and you're starting to feel ready for more responsibility, influence and recognition this is your chance to step up with the right support behind you.

This role has been designed for a Deputy who wants to progress into a Registered Manager position without being thrown in at the deep end.

You won't be inheriting problems or firefighting someone else's mistakes.

You'll be opening a brand-new 3-bed EBD children's home in Wollaton, Nottingham, supporting a maximum of three young people. This gives you:

You'll be supported by an experienced provider who understands that great Registered Managers are developed, not rushed.

What You'll Be Supported to Do



Register the home and prepare for inspection with Ofsted Lead the home in line with the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards Recruit, coach and develop a committed staff team Build a positive, therapeutic culture focused on consistency and emotional safety Oversee care planning, safeguarding and positive outcomes Learn and confidently manage Regulation 44 & 45 processes Take part in the on-call rota with senior support available

This Role Is Ideal If You Are:



A Deputy Manager with at least 2 years' experience in a children's residential home Already supporting with audits, staffing, supervisions or compliance Ready to take ownership but want the right environment to succeed

You'll also need:



Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or actively working towards) A solid understanding of safeguarding and children's residential care Confidence to lead shifts, support staff and make decisions A calm, child-centred approach to leadership Full UK driving licence
