Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Manager to oversee the operations of one of our Children's Residential home.

This role requires a compassionate leader who can manage a team effectively while ensuring that all care plans are implemented and adhered to. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, particularly within nursing homes or assisted living environments, and possess the necessary skills to administer medication and supervise care staff.

Duties



Develop, implement, and monitor individual care plans for each child, ensuring their needs are met in accordance with regulatory standards. Administer medication as prescribed, maintaining accurate records of all medications given. Supervise and support staff in delivering high-quality care, fostering a positive environment for both staff and children. Conduct regular assessments of children's health and wellbeing, making adjustments to care plans as necessary. Collaborate with families, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive care for each child. Lead training sessions for staff on best practices in child care and medication administration. Maintain compliance with all relevant legislation and organisational policies related to children's care.

Skills



Previous experience in a management capacity in a Children's Residential environment is essential. Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to engage with residents, families, and staff. NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People Ability to work flexible hours as required by the needs of the service.
