a two-bed children's home for 11-18 year olds with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), located in Enfield, London.
About the Role
We are seeking a
Registered Ofsted Manager
to lead the development and daily operations of our children's home for young people aged 11-18. You will have legal responsibility for the service, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations while creating a supportive, safe, and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Compliance:
Manage the day-to-day running of the home; ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, including Reg 44 monthly visits and Reg 45 audits.
Team Development:
Lead, mentor, and supervise a dedicated team, fostering continuous professional growth.
Care Planning:
Oversee person-centered care plans, pathways, and risk assessments tailored to each individual's needs.
Quality & Safety:
Champion health and safety; maintain a high-quality living environment.
Multi-Agency Collaboration:
Work closely with external professionals to ensure holistic support for each young person.
Referrer Engagement:
Build and maintain strategic relationships with local authorities and referrers to promote the service.
Requirements
Experience:
Have
at least 2 years of experience
of working in
children's residential care
.
Worked for at least one year in a role requiring the supervision and management of staff working in a care role.
Qualifications:
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to achieve within 2 years)
Knowledge & Skills: Strong understanding of children's home regulations, care planning, risk assessments, safeguarding, and team leadership.
Personal Attributes: Passionate about high-quality care, emotionally resilient, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Other: Valid UK driving licence preferred.
What We Offer
Salary:
40,000-50,000 per year (depending on experience).
Bonus:
Performance-based bonuses for achieving Ofsted ratings of 'Good' or higher and maintaining full occupancy

Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday (09:00-17:00)
Weekend availability as required
Additional Responsibilities Include
Staff rota management and induction of new team members
Supervision and performance management of care staff
Ensuring accurate reporting, documentation, and record-keeping
Promoting inclusive practices and fostering a welcoming, diverse workplace
Maintaining compliance with GDPR, Health & Safety, and other relevant legislation
