Job Title: Children\xe2\x80\x99s Residential Care Worker

Location: Standlake, Oxford

Salary: \xc2\xa328,469 \xe2\x80\x93 \xc2\xa334,861 per annum (depending on experience) plus sleeping-in allowance paying, on average, \xc2\xa36,000 per annum

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

Working Hours: 40-hour week with two shift patterns either Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday

About the Role:

We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for Children\xe2\x80\x99s Residential Care Workers to join our ever-growing team here at The Mulberry Bush. In this role, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be a role model and mentor, and play a key part in the support system for children who have experienced significant trauma. You\xe2\x80\x99ll play a vital role in helping them build healthy relationships and discover the benefits of education. It\xe2\x80\x99s tough, it\xe2\x80\x99s challenging but it\xe2\x80\x99s incredibly rewarding.

We\xe2\x80\x99ll look to you to:

  • Plan and provide child-centred cultural, physical, play and recreational activities
  • Think creatively about \xe2\x80\x93 and contribute to \xe2\x80\x93 effective care planning
  • Provide appropriate therapeutic relationships with the children
  • Develop your understanding of therapeutic childcare practice
  • Monitor the care and treatment of your assigned children within the household
  • We require sleep-ins once a week and rotated sleep-ins on weekends

  • Desire to undertake further education / training
  • Training or qualifications that demonstrate a clear ability to communicate effectively and think critically
  • A valid and full UK driving licence
  • The legal right to live and work in the UK
