to join our warm and dedicated team at our lovely 3-bed children's residential home in Chudleigh Knighton.

About the Role:

As Deputy Manager, you'll work closely with our Registered Manager to lead the team, shape service delivery, and create meaningful outcomes for the young people we care for.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting and motivating the team to provide outstanding care Assisting with Ofsted inspections and ensuring compliance with Children's Homes Regulations Promoting independence and life skills for young people Managing behaviours with compassion, confidence and creative problem-solving Being part of our on-call rota and occasionally covering sleep-ins or weekends
What We're Looking For:

Minimum Level 3

Diploma in Children & Young People's Workforce (or equivalent)

At least 2 years

experience in residential childcare A

valid driving license

Ideally, you'll also have:

Leadership experience in a care setting Strong written and verbal communication skills Confidence using IT (Microsoft Word, Excel, email) A flexible, positive attitude and ability to lead by example Understanding of Autism and intellectual disabilities
Working Hours:

Mainly Monday-Friday, across early (7am-3pm) and late (2pm-10pm) shifts. Occasional weekend or sleep-in cover may be required. Participation in our on-call rota is part of the role.
