Full time. The role will be Monday to Friday 9:00 until 17:00 , One weekend shift will be required per month to touch base with weekend staff and observe team practise. This is a 40 hour per week role.

About Olivia House
Olivia House is a 6 bedded residential home for children aged 4 to 18 whom have a diagnosis of a learning disability. Olivia House is situated in the Georgian market town of Lymington, Lymington is set on the coast in the beautiful New Forest National Park, between Southampton and Bournemouth.

The Role
Your role will involve working alongside the Registered Manager to positively support them in providing effective leadership to the home. You will also deputise for the function of the Registered Manager during their absence.
You will manage the home in accordance with standards agreed with the Registered Manager, the Registered Provider, legislative requirements, relevant regulations and in line with accepted best practice.
Your role will include a combination of leading shifts with confidence and enthusiasm along with providing administrative support to the Registered Manager.
You will provide support and guidance to the staff team and work as part of the management team to ensure that high quality, person-centred care is delivered throughout the home.
You will contribute to and implement care plans, risk assessments, and action plans, participate in reviews and other meetings as required and ensure LAC documentation is up to date and changed when appropriate.
The role requires you to undertake all aspects of day-to-day household tasks such as cleaning, cooking and shopping. Our young people also need to be supported to manage their personal care hygiene.
Successful Candidates
As a member of the team, you will need a real passion for providing a high standard of support that enables our children and young people to be as independent as they can, learn and develop through education and experience, stay healthy and most importantly, have a fun, fulfilling life.
You will have at least two years' experience working in a residential care setting along with experience supporting individuals with autism, learning disabilities and behaviours that challenge. You will also be able to evidence your leadership qualities and supervisory experience.
You will hold an NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare and be willing to work towards the Level 5 in Leadership and Management.
