Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Deputy Manager to support the management team in delivering high-quality services within our Residential Services.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and possess strong communication skills. This role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring the implementation of care plans, and fostering a positive environment for both staff and children in our care.

Duties

Assist in managing daily operations of the home, ensuring compliance with regulatory OFSTED standards and best practices. Supervise and lead a team of staff whilst on shift, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care delivery. Contribute to the upkeep of the home, including cooking and cleaning. Foster a supportive environment for young people and their families, addressing any concerns or feedback promptly. Promote, monitor and maintain a safe environment at all times.

Experience

Previous experience working with children in a childcare setting is essential. Strong background in developing care plans or similar documentation is preferred. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues. Proficiency in IT systems to manage records and data efficiently is advantageous. A valid driving licence is desirable for transportation needs related to the role.
