Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our waking nights team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for helping others, particularly children, and will play a vital role in providing support and assistance in the home throughout the night, there will be other staff on site, however their duties will end at 11pm and they will sleep in the staff room, should any issues arise throughout the night then staff will wake up to support you This position requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans to ensure the well-being of those we support.

Duties

Foster a safe and nurturing environment for children, promoting their emotional and physical well-being. Maintain clear communication with children, families, and other professionals involved in the care process Utilise IT skills to document progress, maintain records, and communicate effectively within the team. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge. To be familiar with and follow the Local Authority Child Protection Procedures and Bull Care Services team's Safer Caring and Child Protection Procedures'. All Information coming to the knowledge of staff must in the first instance be reported immediately to the Registered Manager, Deputy Manager or Senior Residential Worker. To assist the management in the home in compliance with Ofsted, legislation and the ethos and policies of the company.

Experience

Previous experience working with children is essential; experience in childcare settings is highly desirable. A valid driving licence is preferred for transportation duties. Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with children and families. Proficiency in IT applications for record keeping and communication purposes is beneficial.
