We are seeking an experienced and passionate Residential Support Worker to join our team. As an Residential Support Worker at Platform Childcare you will play a key role in taking care of the needs of our children.

Shift Patterns

The normal shift patterns of the home rotas are from approx. 8am to 10pm and includes sleep-in's 10pm to 8am.Shifts can be subject to rota change to meet the needs of the home.

On a typical week

Build and develop relationships with our young people and encourage them to participate fully in the opportunities offered inside and outside the home

Conduct formal key work sessions with young people and produce reports for each session

Have an understanding of, and to follow the required legislation, policies, processes and procedures set by the home to deliver your role effectively

Be responsible for the effective Safeguarding of the young people within your care and understand how to raise any concerns

Support our young people with everyday day tasks such as cooking, cleaning, medical appointments, meetings etc

About you

Full driving license a MUST with access to own transport

Ability to work shifts and sleep ins

Successful applicant must be over the age of 21

An understanding of relevant legislation relating to the care of young people

Experience of working with young people that have social, emotional and/or behavioural difficulties in a residential environment

Ideal candidates will hold Diploma Level 3 qualified in Residential Child Care or willing to study for this.
