The Role



As a

Children's Support Worker

, you will:

Act as a

positive role model and corporate parent

, ensuring each child feels cared for and supported. Help with daily routines -- from cooking and cleaning to homework and recreational activities. Safeguard and promote each child's wellbeing. Maintain accurate and high-quality records. Support children during appointments, health checks, and community activities.

Pay & Hours



Qualified Support Workers

(Level 3 in Residential Childcare):

13.00 per hour | Approx.

25,350 per year

(based on full-time hours) Plus

sleep-ins paid at 63 per night

Total potential earnings:

32,884.80 per year


Non-Qualified Support Workers:



12.70 per hour | Approx.

24,765 per year

Plus

sleep-ins paid at 63 per night

7,534.80 per year

Total potential earnings:

32,299.80 per year


Working Pattern



Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

3-week rolling rota

including sleep-ins Typical shifts:

7:00am-7:30am (with a sleep-in)

Work

1 in 3 weekends


Example rota:

Week 1: 2 days (e.g. Wednesday & Friday) Week 2: 2 days (e.g. Tuesday & Thursday) Week 3: 3 days (e.g. Monday, Saturday & Sunday)

What We're Looking For



Minimum

1 year's experience

working with children

Full UK driving licence

(held for at least 12 months)

Level 3 NVQ/Diploma in Residential Childcare

(or willingness to work towards it) Compassion, resilience, and a genuine desire to make a difference
