About the Role:
We are looking for experienced Children's Support Workers to join a network of leading care providers in Long Eaton and surrounding area's on a
temporary
basis. In this rewarding role, you will contribute to creating a warm, nurturing environment where young people feel safe, valued, and empowered to live their lives to the fullest. Your efforts will directly impact their well-being and help them thrive in a supportive, person-centred setting.
Your responsibilities will include:
Meet the physical, emotional, behavioural, cultural, and safety needs of each young person
Ability to communicate clearly and calmly, even in high-pressure or emotional situations
Maintain accurate, clear, and up-to-date records in line with organisational standards.
Encourage independence and engage residents in activities to promote well-being.
Provide emotional support and build positive relationships with young people.
Ensure each young person's needs are being consistently identified and met.
Regularly review and document changes in needs through effective support planning and risk assessments.
Adhere to health, safety, and confidentiality policies.
Candidate Requirements:
Minimum 1 year experience in a Childcare setting
Experience caring for young people with Learning Disabilities / challenging behaviours / Autism / ADHD
A caring, compassionate, and empathetic attitude
Excellent timekeeping and communication skills
Be able to respond in a calm manner and have emotional resiliance
Ability to follow instructions and maintain accurate records
Flexible approach, sensitive to the needs of young people
Ability to build positive relationships with young people
Medication training is beneficial but not essential
NVQ Level 3 is desirable
PMVA training is desirable
