Children's Support Worker - (Female only)

We have two roles available which will be supporting a child with complex care needs within his own home overnight or within his school setting.

Our client has a Tracheostomy and receives fluids and nutrition through a Peg, the right candidate will have a knowledge of these interventions, although full extensive training along with on going support will be provided by our Nursing team.

Our client is unable to communicate verbally due to his Tracheostomy and uses British sign Language, so the ability to use British sign language would be a huge advantage although not essential, our client understand speech very well and also uses a white board.

During school hours you will support in school with his medical interventions, and promoting his independence in this area.

Our client attends after school clubs, which you will support with along with school outings.

The shifts types are as follows;

Monday - Sunday - night shifts 10 hours

Monday - Friday - 07.40-15.30-16.30

Responsibilities:

Personal care Medication management Management of all clinical interventions Completion of daily recording paperwork Reporting safeguarding concerns Working as part of a core team supporting this client Social support Good Communication with the Nurse lead and care co-ordinator
