Job Description

We are opening a brand-new children's home committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children from traumatic backgrounds. Our mission is to empower and guide them towards brighter futures through trauma-informed care and person-centred support.

What You'll Do:



Provide emotional and practical support to children, helping them build confidence and life skills. Work in a trauma-informed way, offering consistency, patience, and understanding. Assist with daily routines, activities, and education to promote stability and growth. Support children with challenging behaviours, using de-escalation techniques and positive reinforcement. Encourage and facilitate fun, engaging activities to promote well-being. Ensure the home is a safe and positive space, in line with safeguarding and regulatory standards. Work collaboratively with a team of professionals, including social workers and therapists.

What We're Looking For:



Experience working with children or young people, especially those with trauma backgrounds A compassionate, patient, and resilient personality. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Willingness to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins. A relevant qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare) or willingness to work towards one. Understanding of safeguarding, trauma-informed care, and child protection (training provided). A full UK driving license (essential).
