The Supply Specialists are currently recruiting for Children's Support Workers on behalf of two lovely Stoke-on-Trent Children's Residential Homes to start work as soon as possible.

This Children's Support Worker role would be particularly suitable for someone studying Nursing/Psychology however we welcome any applications from strong candidates.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Children's Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing assistance and support to individuals, particularly children, in a variety of settings. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to drive, and a genuine passion for helping others. Experience in childcare and familiarity with care plans will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care and support to individuals, ensuring their comfort and safety. Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and mobility. Develop and implement care plans tailored to the needs of each individual. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other professionals to ensure the best possible care. Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in behaviour or condition. Engage clients in social activities and promote their independence through encouragement and support. Drive clients to appointments or community activities as required.

Requirements for this Children's Support Worker role



Proven experience working with children or in a similar support role is preferred. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and colleagues. Ability to drive and hold a valid driving licence. Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes. Knowledge of care plans and how to implement them effectively. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others. Flexibility to work varied hours as needed.
