Children's Support Worker - Residential Care (EBD)

Location:

Uxbridge, Hillingdon

Salary:

30,500 - 31,720 per annum (dependent on experience)

Contract:

Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

1 shift on / 2 shifts off (rolling rota)

Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)

About the Role

As a

Children's Support Worker

, you will provide emotional and practical support to children and young people with EBD. You will act as a

positive role model

, helping them build confidence, develop independence, and achieve their personal goals.

Key Responsibilities

Provide consistent care and emotional support tailored to each young person's needs. Build trusting relationships and promote positive behaviour and self-esteem. Implement therapeutic strategies that encourage wellbeing and resilience. Support the development of independence and essential life skills. Maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing home environment. Follow safeguarding policies and ensure the welfare of all residents. Keep accurate records and contribute to care and support plans.
Requirements

Minimum 1 year's experience in residential childcare - Preferred*
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) - Preferred*
Understanding of trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches to care. Calm, empathetic, and child-focused approach. Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills. Full UK driving licence - Preferred*
