We are a small, family-run children's residential home in Uxbridge, providing care and support for young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) who have experienced trauma. About the Role
As a Children's Support Worker, you will provide emotional and practical support to children and young people with EBD. You will act as a positive role model, helping them build self-esteem, confidence, and independence, while maintaining a safe and structured environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide consistent care and emotional support tailored to individual needs.
Build trusting relationships and promote positive behaviour.
Implement therapeutic strategies that encourage wellbeing and resilience.
Support young people in developing independence and essential life skills.
Maintain a safe, nurturing, and structured home environment.
Follow safeguarding procedures and ensure the welfare of all residents.
Keep accurate records and contribute to care planning and reviews.
Requirements
Minimum 1 year's experience in residential childcare - Preferred.
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) - Preferred.
Understanding of trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches.
Calm, empathetic, and child-focused approach.
Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Full UK driving licence - Preferred.
