Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menu plans. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Assist in the planning and execution of daily menus, including special dietary requirements. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service times. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed. Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.

Skills

Proven experience in a restaurant or similar culinary environment. Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food safety practices. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures. A passion for culinary arts and willingness to learn new skills in the kitchen.
