Duties
Prepare and cook authentic Chinese dishes using traditional wok techniques, ensuring flavor, presentation, and quality meet established standards
Lead food production efforts for both daily service and special banquet events, maintaining consistency across all offerings
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance on food preparation, cooking methods, and safety protocols to foster a collaborative team environment
Manage inventory control, monitor stock levels, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure the availability of fresh ingredients
Oversee food handling procedures to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Assist in menu planning by developing new recipes that align with culinary trends and guest preferences
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to health department regulations at all times
Skills
Extensive experience in Chinese cuisine preparation, especially wok cooking techniques
Proven supervisory experience in a busy kitchen or restaurant setting
Strong background in banquet service, catering, or fine dining environments
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead and motivate kitchen staff
Familiarity with inventory management, cost control, and food production processes
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards in food service and presentation
