As a Church Administrator, you will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of church activities and administrative functions. Your role will encompass managing office tasks, maintaining records, and facilitating communication within the Church. Core skills such as computer proficiency, organizational abilities, and phone etiquette are vital, while your premium office experience will enhance efficiency. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry will support your efforts in maintaining accurate administrative records, contributing to the overall mission of the church.
Main Responsibilities
To undertake tasks reasonably requested by the Minister.
To manage church bookings from church users, regular hirers and requests from outside organisations within the guidelines set by the Church Council.
To communicate, meet and maintain a good relationship with regular hirers of the building.
To liaise with the minister/funeral director/user groups/organist/stewards when a funeral is booked at the church.
To support the Minister and church officers by undertaking the production of weekly PowerPoints for Sunday Services, printing of service sheets, posters, flyers and notices for church events, etc
To assist the Minister to maintain a database of members etc. compliant with GDPR
To co-ordinate and work with church volunteers in the office
To maintain and update the Church computer system as necessary.
To regularly update the Church website and social media accounts e.g. Facebook
To liaise with the minister/funeral director/user groups/organist/stewards when a funeral is booked at the church.
To liaise with the Circuit Office and others as necessary
Other duties and responsibilities identified by the Minister to meet the needs of the church and are within your capabilities and level of responsibility.
Qualifications
Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
Administrative experience with a focus on clerical tasks
Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
Prior office experience is preferred
Typing proficiency and attention to detail
