Volunteer Celestial Garment Maker

Location: Dartford, UK

Hours: 20 hours per week

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and committed Celestial Garment Maker to join our church community in Dartford. This important role involves sewing, tailoring, and maintaining the sacred garments of the Celestial Church of Christ in line with church standards and traditions.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for garment making, attention to detail, and a deep respect for the spiritual significance of the role.

Key Responsibilities

Design, cut, and sew garments according to the approved Celestial Church of Christ patterns and standards.

Sew the Shepherds and Elders Regalia and Cassock according to Celestial Church of Christ standards

Maintain and repair existing garments to ensure they remain neat, clean, and suitable for worship.

Ensure garments are ready for church services, special programs, and ceremonies.

Source and manage fabrics, threads, and sewing materials efficiently.

Work collaboratively with church leaders and members to meet garment needs.

Uphold the sanctity, cleanliness, and respect for the garments at all times.

Requirements

Must be a Celestial Church of Christ Member.

Strong skills in tailoring, sewing, and garment construction.

Knowledge of Celestial garment standards and traditions.

Ability to work with different fabrics and maintain quality finishes.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Flexibility to support during busy seasons and special events.

Commitment to the values and mission of the Celestial Church of Christ.
