Position Overview:

As a skilled Sample Machinist, you will be responsible for creating jersey and woven garments from start to finish, using established production methods. You will work closely with our designers and pattern cutters to bring new concepts to life. In this hands-on role, you will be an integral part of a small, collaborative team, ensuring that prototypes and samples are of the highest standard and ready for production.

Key Responsibilities:

Garment Construction: Make complete jersey and woven garments from start to finish, following technical specifications and production methods.

Collaboration: Work closely with the designers and pattern cutters to develop and perfect garment samples.

Problem Solving: Identify and address any issues with patterns, fabrics, or construction methods during the sample-making process.

Quality Control: Ensure that all samples are completed on time, in order of priority and meet the company's quality standards, with attention to detail in stitching, finishing, and overall presentation.

Key Skills & Experience:

Proven experience as a Sample Machinist or Garment Maker, ideally in the retail or fashion industry.

Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabric types, and production techniques.

Excellent sewing skills with a high level of attention to detail.

Ability to work from technical drawings, patterns, and specifications.

Collaborative mindset with the ability to work well within a small team.

Strong communication skills and the ability to take direction and feedback.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 13.00-14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.5 per week
