ABOUT THE ROLE
The CEGE Civil Engineering workshop facility is located on the London Bloomsbury campus. Its purpose is to provide practical technical support to departmental academics, researchers, and students in the design, manufacture, assembly, and testing of bespoke novel scientific equipment. The Civil Engineering workshop also provides support to the department's laboratories and undergraduate and postgraduate student projects. The role includes working across all three department sites.
CEGE is based on the Bloomsbury campus and features extensive teaching and research laboratories. The department also operates a structural and environmental testing facility for large-scale experiments in Stratford, East London .
In Dagenham, CEGE hosts two unique research environments: the Person-Environment-Activity Research Laboratory (PEARL) , which investigates how people interact with their surroundings, and the Clean Active Ventilation Environments (CAVE) laboratory, focused on innovative ventilation systems. )
