Are you a Structural Engineer with

APDL scripting and coding expertise

? We're seeking a highly skilled professional to deliver advanced structural designs and automated solutions for major energy, transmission, and civil infrastructure projects.


You will use

APDL scripting and coding

to develop parametric models, automate structural analysis, and produce efficient, code-compliant designs for substations, foundations, cable supports, and other energy-critical structures. Your work will directly contribute to the delivery of safe, robust, and sustainable infrastructure.

Your main responsibilities will be:



Develop and maintain

APDL scripts and macros

to streamline structural analysis and design processes Perform structural modelling and analysis of steel, concrete, and composite structures using

APDL / ANSYS

Produce detailed calculations, reports, and drawings for substations, foundations, equipment supports, and civil works Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to support grid-connection, transmission, and utility projects Ensure designs comply with British and international standards Implement automation to improve productivity and accuracy in structural workflows

Qualifications

Experience, skills and qualifications required:



Strong

APDL scripting and coding experience (mandatory)

Degree-qualified Structural/Civil Engineer (BEng/MEng) Proven experience in energy, transmission, utilities, or major civil infrastructure projects Excellent knowledge of structural analysis, finite-element modelling, and parametric design Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills Experience applying automation to improve design efficiency is highly desirable
