Peter Ramsey & Sons Timber is the major supplier of timber products to the UK bedding industry. A family run company, we have been in business for 120 years. We are looking for a skilled

HGV Driver Class 1

to join our Logistics team based at Whitehead Business Park, Holland Street, Bradford, BD4 8BH.

While predominately a Class 1 role, you will need, on occasions, to cover for holidays and sickness of other drivers which may require you to drive

Class 2 vehicle.

Due to the requirements of our company's insurance policy for this role, candidates must be 25 years or over.

Shift:

Monday to Friday

; Hour's variable. Overnight stops will be required; Occasional requirement to work weekends and to travel overseas (predominately to Ireland).

45 hours per week

(excluding unpaid hour break each day)

Wage:???16.00 - 24.00 per hour.

Overnight allowance and expenses paid

Job Requirement:

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager you will be responsible for the safe transit of both vehicle and load to our customers and clients, providing excellent customer service; you will be aware of and adhere to all statutory regulations regarding recording of mileage, journeys undertaken and driving hours; complete daily vehicle checks reporting any issues

The successful candidate must have a valid licence, (

Class 1 and 2),

current CPC driver card and Digital Tachograph card; no more than 6 points on your licence; experience of working in a busy transport and warehouse environment is preferred; an FLT Counterbalance certificate is an advantage but not essential.

Candidates must hold a valid passport for overseas travel.

The successful candidate will also be a team player, have good communication skills and be willing to assist in other areas; be able to work under pressure; have excellent time keeping, reliability and flexibility;

Overtime is paid at 24.00 (basic plus time )
