Roles and Responsibilities

As a

Class 1 HGV Driver

, you will be responsible for delivering pharmaceutical products across a defined region, ensuring compliance with all legal, safety, and regulatory requirements. The role will include a mix of local and regional routes, with frequent overnight stays when required by the schedule.

Key responsibilities include:

Safely transporting pharmaceutical goods from goods receipt to final mile delivery. Maintaining compliance with

Good Distribution Practice (GDP)

and

MHRA

regulations. Carrying out DVSA-compliant vehicle checks and adhering to SOPs. Supporting temperature monitoring and ensuring correct handling of temperature-sensitive goods. Representing Mawdsleys professionally to customers, colleagues, and external partners. Communicating effectively with transport colleagues, clients, and management. Assisting the transport operations team during peak periods or staff absence. Participating in projects that support business strategy and operational improvements. Completing regional driving duties, including long-distance travel and overnight stays.

What We're Looking For From You

Essential:

CPC qualification

and valid

Tachograph driver card

. Clean UK driving licence. Experience in long-distance and regional driving. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Flexible approach to working hours, including overnight stays and extended shifts. Ability to make sound decisions under pressure. Team-oriented, reliable, and self-motivated. Commitment to compliance, safety, and customer service excellence.

Desirable:

Experience using PDAs or handheld delivery devices. Previous work in a regulated logistics or pharmaceutical environment.
