Job Description

M Kettlewell (Melmerby) Ltd, an agricultural haulage and warehousing contractor with a fleet of more than 30 vehicles, is looking for a Bulk Tipper Driver at our Head Office in Melmerby, Ripon.

Transporting bulk products within the north of England and further afield, a privately-owned, family-run business based in North Yorkshire. The Group's other businesses include commercial vehicle maintenance and DAF Service partner(TM) Kettlewell Commercials Ltd.

Reporting to the Director or his representative, Bulk Tipper Drivers are responsible for:

Sorting allocated consignments to deliver with maximum efficiency Accurate and timely movement and delivery of our customers' products Loading and unloading vehicle Ensuring all documentation is completed properly with attention to detail Adhering to safe working practices Complying with all road traffic regulations and relevant legislation related to Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive Complete vehicle checks and report any problems Ensure vehicle and trailer are clean and compliant with TASCC and FIAS standards Communicating any delays or problems to the transport office
Skills and Attributes

Must hold HGV Class 1 Licence, Driver CPC and Digital Tacho Card Excellent customer service skills Excellent organisational skills Ability to communicate clearly and effectively Confident with the ability to work well under pressure Flexible and adaptable Able to work independently and as part of a team Excellent time-keeping and attendance

Salary Option 1:

14.00 Per Hour Base Rate 17.00 Per Hour Overtime Rate after 40 hours 18.00 Per Hour Saturday Rate & Bank Holidays 26 Night Out Allowance Quarterly Attendance Allowance

15.00 Per Hour Flat Rate 18.00 Per Hour Saturday Rate & Bank Holidays 26 Night Out Allowance Quarterly Attendance Allowance
