Ingleford Scaffolding Ltd has an exciting opportunity to join our growing business as a Class 1 Hiab Driver. Based in Washington, Tyne and Wear, we have been supplying scaffolding across the North East for over 10 years.
About the Role:
The successful candidate should possess and be able to demonstrate a combination of qualities including:
Relevant experience in a similar role (required)
Digital Tachograph Card (in-date)
Valid HGV Licence
Valid CPC (preferred)
Knowledge of load security using ratchet straps and other methods
Good knowledge of the area (preferred)
Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of the role will include all aspects of driving and material handling, including:
Delivering materials to site using a Hiab vehicle
Loading and unloading equipment and materials
Refuelling on site
Completing daily vehicle inspections and reporting defects to the transport department
Completing and submitting all company paperwork as required
Safeguarding all company assets; ensuring nothing leaves the depot without correct paperwork
Ensuring the company vehicle (or occasional loan vehicle) is kept clean and tidy at all times
Ensuring the vehicle is serviced within manufacturer guidelines and that defects are reported and rectified promptly
