Working pattern: Part-time, Term-time only (working for 39 weeks per year plus 7 weeks annual leave, which will increase after 5 years' continuous service)

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support our classroom teaching and help ensure every child reaches their full potential. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about education and eager to work in a supportive and dynamic school environment.


Key qualities and skills required:


Excellent Communication skills - able to interact effectively with students, teachers and parents Patience & Empathy - A calm, nurturing approach to supporting children, particularly those with additional needs Adaptability - Comfortable working with children of different abilities and adapting to varied classroom situations Strong Teamwork Abilities - Willing to collaborate closely with teachers and other support staff Organisational skills - capable of managing resources, assisting with lesson preparation when needed Initiative - Able to work independently and support learning with minimal supervision when required Positive Attitude/ Team Spirit - A proactive, can do mindset and willingness to support school activities beyond the classroom. Commitment to Safeguarding - A clear understanding of child protection responsibilities and a commitment to upholding school policies.



The candidates will be required to participate in whole school activities and to support the daily work and ethos of our school which focuses on six core values: Resilience, Independence, Caring, Respectfulness, Positivity and Aspiration. The candidates should be able to work well as part of a team and be prepared to work closely under the direction of the Class Teacher and Senior Leadership Team.

Qualifications and experience:


Essential:


GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths A genuine passion for working with children
Desirable:


Relevant TA qualification Previous experience working in a primary school setting First Aid and/or safeguarding training

Application Information:




Hours of work: 8.45-3.15 Mon-Fri with Half hour break each day.


The post also includes 2.5 hours MDSA cover each week, included in these hours.
